The Netflix original Kaos has diverse representations of historically underrepresented groups, such as LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, elders, and people of color. Some examples of these groups could be Zeus, Prometheus, Daedalus, Dionysus, The Tacita, and more. The series represents a bold shift in character archetypes, transforming gods, mortals, and monsters into complex, diverse, and relatable figures.
Kaos was able to amplify its target audience by showing all these different groups on its show, which could be partly why it did so well and reached the top 10 in its first 4 weeks. With its diverse cast and broad characters, Kaos represents a step forward in how ancient stories can be told in ways that resonate with today’s audiences.
The show revolves around a famous Greek singer and his spouse as he starts his concert his spouse (Riddy) is on her way when she stops at a temple of Hera to pray when she is leaving she gets hit by a bus and killed and sent to Hades. When the singer (Orpheus) finds out he is desperate to get her back and willing to do anything. The god Dionysus sees this and decides to help him by taking him to Hades to get her back.
