Camera Shots Quiz

This assignment was more of a project than a quiz, nevertheless, it was fun, entertaining, and productive. We were told to take 15 shots using inanimate objects. (Some shots were mandatory for the quiz)

My partner and I decided to tell a story of conflict with our production, we did this using a monster pencil pouch, a small perfume bottle, and a hairbrush that doubled as a mirror. The production story was about the main characters (monster pencil pouch and perfume bottle) who started arguing and mad at each other. They made up, and shortly after the pencil pouch caught the perfume bottle being unfaithful and decided to take a leap which proved to be fatal.

I think my partner and I did very well on this assignment, especially since all the shots were taken within 10 minutes due to time complications.  Even with this hindrance we still managed to capture a lot of emotion in every shot without the need for facial expressions or dialogue. My favorite shot is the long shot in which the pencil pouch is walking away from the perfume bottle after catching it being promiscuous with the hairbrush this is since it captures so much emotion, it pictures how hurt the pencil pouch is that it didn't even bother to ask questions it just walked away without interrupting. Although, we could've done better with the low-angle shot of the pencil pouch falling but we had very limited time and could only do one take of this which ended up being the final result. One way I would improve it now would be to take more time and do it however many times we need to to get a good shot.
